ROSE NORMAN
Rose Norman is a humanitarian, nonprofit leader, and passionate advocate dedicated to empowering underserved communities through service, faith, and education. For years, she has faithfully served through her church by participating in outreach initiatives, community service projects, mentorship, and programs designed to uplift individuals and families. Her commitment to serving others is rooted in her Christian faith and her belief that every person deserves access to opportunity, support, and dignity.
Rose’s passion for advocacy became deeply personal through her journey as the mother of her son, Avalon, who is on the autism spectrum. While advocating to ensure he received the educational services and accommodations he deserved, Rose experienced firsthand the challenges families often encounter while navigating complex educational and support systems.
That experience inspired Rose to establish the Avy Mack Society, a nonprofit organization committed to advocating for children with autism and other developmental disabilities. The organization also equips families with education, resources, and compassionate support. Through this work, Rose strives to ensure that no family feels unheard, unsupported, or alone throughout its advocacy journey.
Rose believes meaningful change begins with service, collaboration, and a commitment to removing barriers. She remains dedicated to using her personal experiences, faith, and nonprofit leadership to uplift families, strengthen communities, and create lasting impact.

JOY KING
Joy King is an accomplished social services leader with 22 years of experience developing and overseeing impactful community-based programs throughout New York. She currently serves as a Program Manager at CAMBA, where she oversees a supportive housing site in Brooklyn and manages services supporting individuals in permanent and transitional housing.
Throughout her distinguished career, Joy has held key leadership and case-management positions. Before assuming her current role, she served as a Social Services Supervisor at a shelter for single men and as a Case Manager within a family shelter system. She also dedicated 11 years to Graham Windham, a leading foster care and preventive services agency, where she advocated for child safety and helped facilitate family reunifications and permanent placements. Joy remains deeply committed to creating safe, stable environments and building pathways toward independence for individuals and families.
